In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top music and podcast applications on a unified platform in Denmark showcased varied performance trends, as analyzed by Sensor Tower.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts saw a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at about $20.7K at the end of October and again in late November. Weekly downloads spiked notably to 8.4K in the week leading up to December 23. Meanwhile, active users hovered around 650K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

DR LYD experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 6.3K at the start of the quarter to around 3.8K by year’s end. Its active user count also decreased from 327K in September to 243K in December, indicating a gradual decline over the quarter.

Podimo: Podcasts & audiobooks recorded robust revenue growth, reaching a high of approximately $247K towards the end of November. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 2.7K and 3.5K, while active users showed a slight decline from 142K to 124K by December.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained consistent download numbers, peaking at nearly 3K in late December. Active users saw a minor drop from 104K in September to around 99K by the end of the quarter.

Danish Radio: Live FM & Online exhibited stable revenue, with a modest peak of $173 in late October. Downloads increased to over 2K in early December, while active users remained steady with minor fluctuations around 7K.
